Very gentle and sweet horse, and flashy! A jockey told me that she thought that this boy had a chip removed from his knee when he had entered training, but there is no evidence of it, and nobody has any idea which knee, but maybe that's why he had a late start at the track. He is very slow and easy going. I can't imagine why anybody would have thought he could win any races. Around 16.3. Chip will make a great trail horse, family horse, husband horse. He does not spook and he is very gentle and friendly and safe. With a good rider he is really a very good mover and could really be brought along - he is very flashy! Or he can just stay sort of how he is now, totally gentle and anybody can ride. Chip has had Gastroguard treatment just in case (many off the track horses have ulcers) and he's been adjusted by a chiropractor, received body work, had a Panacur Power Pack as well as regular deworming, WNV and three-way vaccines, teeth floated last year and again on November 1 of this year, and is currently shod up front but has been fine barefoot. Chip was purchased in 09 by a current boarder, and she kept him here but due to health issues she has only ridden him a few times. We have done a month here and a month there of training but nothing consistent. He does really like to jump though and would make a great eventing prospect! We've popped him over a few small things and he seems to really think it's great fun. Taken February 12, 2009
Here's a pic from before we owned him, not sure when it was taken:
