“Jewel” has been a kids’ horse, a lesson horse, has done barrel racing (beginner level, trot/lope), worked cattle, and has had four outstanding foals with great conformation, pretty heads, and athletic ability.  She is priced low because after staying on the farm for 4 years having babies, she has forgotten how to load up easily!  Other than this, she is a great horse.  Very gentle, light and responsive, tries hard, absolutely no buck or rear or kicking or anything bad like that, ever.  Prefers to go bitless.  She is a great mover with a flashy trot with lots of suspension.  Good mom, easy foaling each time.  Her ’05 filly is in cutting training; trainer says she is very athletic, talented, catty, with a super spin, and could have easily gone to Snaffle Bit.

I have owned Jewel for 6 years and I love her dearly but I absolutely must sell a horse or two – I have fourteen!!!!!  I don’t sell the ones I think nobody will like, because I want you to be happy!  I have a good reputation in the community as an honest and fair horse seller.  Jewel is a nice mare, the sweetest you’ll ever meet, and I will buy her back from you if you need to sell.

These pictures below were taken May 24, 2007.  This was the first time she was saddled, bridled, first time she was ridden, in a year and a half.  She just had her foal taken away from her also.  She was GREAT, very calm, moved off leg very nicely and was soft and responsive.  Thanks Sarah for riding her!

Below are some older pictures:

Allison and her friends, summer of 2002. Allison is on the right and oops, I cut off Jewel's head!

Here's Allison and Jewel at her instructor's place.

Two pics of when she was learning barrels and moving pretty slowly.

These are from Allison's first real barrel race. She's just loping and is not really to the point of being ready to add speed.  Still the summer of 2002.

Here is Jewel before we bought her:
