"Oak" is a once in a lifetime horse. Pretty much ready to show in the two handed cutting. Anybody can ride him. He is extremely gentle and kind. Beginner kids in my lesson program have groomed him, led him, had pony rides on him, and he's given lessons to advanced beginners and up. He had training at Jon Roeser's barn, and I bought him as a three year old. He is now at The Wright Ranch to further his training. He is great on a cow. He is the type of horse you won't have to have your trainer ride all the time! And in between shows, he can give your friends, kids or grandkids a very safe ride. Smooth, healthy, sweet, great breeding, trail rides alone or in a group, nothing much bothers him - check out his youtube videos where he gets his feet trimmed with the electric grinder and does not mind one bit. He is a calm and gentle horse who's capable of also being a great showhorse - just a super all around guy, the whole package! Sound barefoot! Most recent video taken May 29, 2009. Same thing, same day, with two non-pro young riders. This is their first time riding a horse with this much cow! With Allison, who is very nervous:
With Stephanie, who is not nervous at all:
